Pen refill directions

In the pen descriptions where it mentions about refills there is a number, the number corresponds to the refill direction number.  Match the numbers to find your directions.


1) Slim & Round top twist pensTo replace the ink well simply pull the upper half of the pen off of the lower half. These pens are press fit so sometimes they are a bit difficult to get apart but they do come apart. Once you have the two halves separated the ink well is in the lower half of the pen. There is a black plastic top to the ink well, just grab that black plastic portion and unscrew it. The ink well should pull straight out of the pen. The pens take a Cross ballpoint pen refill; these are available in most big box stores. To reassemble the pens just follow the reverse procedure. Screw the refill in and press the top of the pen back on firmly. Check for function.


2) Knurl twist: To replace the ink well simply unscrew the tip of the pen from the body. Once you have the tip off the refill and the spring should just fall out. The pen takes a Parker style pen refill; these are available in most big box stores. To reassemble the pen just follow the reverse procedure, don’t forget the spring.

4) Cigar PenTo replace the ink well simply unscrew the upper half of the pen from the lower half. Once you have the two halves separated the ink well is in the lower half of the pen. There is a black plastic top to the ink well, just grab that black plastic portion and pull it out with the spring. The ink well and spring should pull straight out of the pen. The pen takes a Parker style ballpoint pen refill; these are available in most big box stores. To reassemble the pen just follow the reverse procedure. Place the spring onto the new refill, place the refill into the lower half of the pen then screw the two pen halves together. Check for function.


5) Large click, Bolt action, Thick click pensTo replace the ink well simply unscrew the tip of the pen from the body. Once you have the tip off the refill and the spring should just fall out. The Bolt Action, Thick and the Large click pens take a Parker style ballpoint pen refill; available in most big box stores. The Thick click will also take a Parker Gel style refill. To reassemble the pen just follow the reverse procedure, don’t forget the spring. Check for function.


6) Chrome capped, Classic capped  rollerball pens: To replace the ink well simply unscrew the tip of the pen from the body. Once you have the tip off the refill should just pull out. The spring for this pen is small and lives in the very top of the pen, above the refill, the spring may come out when you pull the refill out. The pen takes a gel pen refill; these are available in most big box stores. To reassemble the pen just follow the reverse procedure, don’t forget the spring. Check for function.


7) Classic Fountain: The pen is designed to use a Waterman based ink cartridge. The pen is supplied with a short international fountain pen ink cartridge, a standard international cartridge is a bit longer but will still fit in the pen. Both cartridges are available at office supply stores. To replace the ink cartridge simply unscrew the nib, pull off the old cartridge and replace it with a new one. Make sure you press the new cartridge firmly onto the nib to pierce the cartridge, and screw the nib back onto the pen. Check for function.

 

8) Bullet Twist, Patriot PensTo replace refill, unscrew the upper body from the lower body. The pen refill and spring are in the lower body. The ink well and spring should pull straight out of the pen. The pen takes a Parker style ballpoint pen refill; these are available in most big box stores. To reassemble the pen just follow the reverse procedure. Place the spring onto the new refill, place the refill into the lower half of the pen then screw the two pen halves together. Check for function.
